The Vaccination Challenge
The time required to take samples for Covid-19 detection is not comparable to the time required for vaccine application. The logistics are different and, in principle, the number of service providers will be too few to meet the demand. Obviously, this is expected to increase as the months go by.
If an average of 15,000 tests are performed daily in Panama, one might think that the model would be adapted to one of vaccination and that is not entirely true, or perhaps it is not true at all.
Let's see:
Hypothetical study
1. The capacity to mass produce it is limited.
2. Several countries signed lots with different laboratories, which atomizes the allocation.
3. In the case of Pfizer, the cold chain must be maintained from start to finish.
